A Chance Meeting

MSC Admissions
by Abby Gunia, Class of 2011
Funny how things happen. I was recently put in charge of the committee meeting for my job. On the email list for committee members? None other than Mike Roloff, one of my favorite professors from the MSC. For those of you considering applying (or even those just starting classes with Roloff) his class alone makes the MSC worthwhile.
Roloff’s teaching style is one of the most comprehensive in terms of material and most entertaining courses I have ever been in. He not only succeeded in teaching us a lot of material about change management (and in my case organizational behavior as well) but he also kept us wanting more. I came to class each week waiting to hear what the next funny story would be.
We exchanged a few emails and it was good to catch up with an old professor. Out of the 60+ students that were in the program last year, I am surprised he remembered me, but that is what the MSC is all about, professors who actually get to know their students and care about their teaching.
I hope that in the future I will continue to keep in touch with my favorite professors. They provided me with a great experience and have helped to shape my knowledge into what it is today.
