ATTENTION SOC JUNIORS: IT’S TIME TO PETITION TO GRADUATE!
All juniors are required to petition to graduate Spring Quarter of their junior year with their Academic Advisor. Failure to complete your petition may jeopardize your ability to graduate on time. Please follow these steps:
1. Obtain a petition form from the Office of the Registrar, or download the following pdf:
2. Schedule an appointment to complete the petition with your major/minor advisor(s). Communication Studies, Radio, Television and Film, Performance Studies, and Interdepartmental Majors can call (847) 491-7214 to make an appointment to see your Advisor and complete your petition. Theatre and Dance Students may make an appointment to complete their petition by signing up on their Advisor’s door in TIC. Human Communication Science Majors contact your Advisor.
3. Complete the top portion of the petition and bring it to your advising meeting. Be sure to review your degree progress report in CAESAR prior to meeting with your advisor. Your Advisor will also conduct a degree audit to determine what is needed to complete your degree and help you establish a timeline to finish your requirements.
